QUESTION
If it is semi-permanent, will it disappear completely?
THE BETTER STUDIO
Support:
This is a common misconception. Permanent makeup requires infrequent maintenance. Fading of your tattoo will happen slowly over time and may get to a point where it is undetectable by you, but there are no guarantees. In order to maintain its color, shape and detail, refresh appointments are needed. The length of time and condition of fading is unique to the individual - variables to consider are lifestyle choices, skin health/integrity, use of skin care products, age and also techniques/technology within the cosmetic tattoo industry. For most people, their tattoo will last between 1-3 years before booking a refresh.
QUESTION
Do I need a touch up?
THE BETTER STUDIO
Support:
Touch ups are highly recommended. Due to the uniqueness of each individual and the superficial nature of the tattoo itself, touch ups provide an opportunity to assess how your skin responds to the procedure. Touch ups provide an opportunity to make any adjustments necessary while also lengthening the longevity of your tattoo. These sessions are not included in the initial price and need to be booked between 4-8 weeks from the time of your first session.
QUESTION
Does it hurt?
THE BETTER STUDIO
Support:
Generally, no. Each person has a pain threshold, but consistent application of anesthetic typically keeps clients very comfortable. If you do not respond to numbing agents, there can be some discomfort.
QUESTION
How do I proceed if I have previous work done by another artist?
THE BETTER STUDIO
Support:
Previous work can be tricky. The current state of your tattoo, and understanding your expectations will help your artist offer advise and help achieve the desired result. All coverups must be pre-approved before booking. Please send a photo in natural light to our email thebetteryoustudio@gmail.com.
QUESTION
Can all three procedures be combined in one appointment?
THE BETTER STUDIO
Support:
Absolutely! Our artists love when you allow them to create a full look, basically like really drawing an image. It's way easier to create an image all in once rather than separate it, actually.
Just let us know, when booking, that you want to combine services, so we can reserve a plenty of time for you.
QUESTION
How will I look right after procedure?
THE BETTER STUDIO
Support:
Eyebrows

Most likely your brows will appear dark for the first few days, don’t worry this is a temporary effect. In 5-7 days, they will start to peel off. 8-10 days after the procedure your eyebrows might look light, like there is not much color left. True result will be visible in 4-6 weeks.

Lips

You might experience some swelling, oozing, and some redness are normal the next day after the procedure. Your lips will peel for a week. Picking and pulling off skin that is not ready to come off will cause pigment loss and can pull out deeper tissue. The edges or lip liner will be the last to fall off. Pulling this off will result in an uneven splotchy line or an indented scar. During the peeling process, it may look like there is not much color left. True color will be visible 4-6 weeks after the procedure.
